The Longines watch company was founded in 1832 by Auguste Agassiz in the town of Saint-Imier, Switzerland. The company initially produced pocket watches with crown-wheel escapements. In 1867, Longines produced its first chronograph movement, and soon after became known for producing high-quality and accurate timepieces for sports, aviation, and scientific measurement.
In 1912, Longines developed the first automatic timekeeping device for sporting events, which allowed for more accurate timing of races and competitions. Longines became the official timekeeper for many prestigious sporting events, including the Olympic Games, and developed a reputation for producing accurate and reliable chronographs.

This is a truly elegant timepiece! A vintage Longines tank mechanical Wristwatch from 1960.
It is a manual-wind watch powered by the original Longines mechanical movement, caliber 370, featuring 17 jewels, an unadjusted mechanism, a small seconds hand, a 49-hour power reserve, and a frequency of 19,800 vibrations per hour. Swiss-made and built to last.
The watch still retains its original champagne dial, showing subtle signs of age and beautiful patina. The dial features silver applied hour markers and matching silver hands, with a small seconds hand at the 6 o’clock position. The Longines name and logo are displayed at the top, completing the timeless look.
Housed in a 26.2x29mm rectangular case with a refined fancy lug design, all crafted in 10K white gold-filled material.
It comes with a silver-tone stainless steel flex bracelet for a comfortable fit. Additionally, the watch is presented in an original Longines-Wittnauer display box.
In very good condition, this timepiece runs smoothly, keeps excellent time, and is a beautiful example of vintage Swiss watchmaking.

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust the lighting, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
