In the early 1960's, Wolbrook and Douglas introduced "Skindiver" watches. Wolbrook manufactured in France different variation of the Skindiver watches, including the Skindiver Worldtimer tool-watch. It is a highly legible vintage timepiece dated from the 1960's. It is a manual wind watch with a Wolbrook movement, one jewel, central second, France made.
Wrapped in a solid, water-resistant 36mm round case with a 24-hours / Military Time scale along with a rotatable bezel with time zones and elapsed time. Chrome plated case/bezel and stainless steels back.
Stunningly styled! It still keeps the original black dial contrasting perfectly with luminous markers and hands, a bold red sweep second hand, distinctive hour and minute hands. The date indicator is located at 3. Also, the dial is signed "Wolbrook France Made".
This watch is coming with a vintage black rubber two-piece watch strap, making this watch a perfect archetype of these special tool-watches.
After 60 years, it is still a very interesting and good looking watch! It is in good condition! Runs very well, keeps great time. Just SERVICED!

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men's watches typically measure between 29-36mm (some larger, some smaller) wide excluding the crown. We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust light, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
